Zachary Danz is currently a third-year Echols Scholar at the University of Virginia studying Computer Science through the College of Arts and Sciences. His focus of study is a self-made Game Design curriculum --interdisciplinary across programming classes, electronic music composition, computer animation, computational mathematics, and storytelling. He recently worked as a Junior Developer at Castle Hill Gaming, a Charlottesville-based Native American casino game maker. He hopes to continue exploring the video games industry through internships and job opportunities over the summer, 2017.
He is also the External Relations Officer for UVA's Student Game Developers, who's primary purposes are to develop and educate collegiate game makers, designers, programmers, musicians, artists, and storytellers and to create amazing games. As the External Relations Officer, Zachary's primary duties are to organize guest speakers, game jams, philanthropic opportunities, and club travels as well as be the forefront face of SGD to exterior clubs and organizations.
